Hello Christine,

I know you said you have trained yourself to forget the people you read for and I can totally appreciate that. I just wanted to quickly tell you how things have changed in such a short period. I have made a point of mediating every night. Before I would pray for this man to open his heart to myself and our child and I would always feel suppressed and trapped.

I now mediate for a bit every night and pray for strength and a full heart. I pray that only love comes in the path for my son and I. And that no more negative or cruel people come in. I realize the last two mornings I have woken up breathing. I feel freed. Don’t get me wrong, I do have moments that I catch myself missing the man I wish or pretended he was, but I really do not miss him. I don’t care if he is happy or not, I just don’t care. And not in a negative way, it just doesn’t matter.

He told me that we will be sleeping with his new girlfriend for the first time tonight and who she is and all about her. I am not sure why he would do that other than to hurt me. I won’t say it didn’t sting, but at the end of the day… who cares!!! I have this wonderful beautiful little boy who looks at me with pure joy and love and I have that man to thank for him… but that is all. Together, my son and I have a great life and I actually feel free!

So I will do all I have to do to keep going forward with this positive light and when he does sneak back into my thoughts, I will let it go. I know he is pure toxic and I will not keep drinking his poison and while calling it wine. He is not sweet; he is a bitter broken man that has no business being in my life other than to send money.

So thank you for opening my eyes. Thank you for setting me straight.

Admittedly, prior to our call I asked my dad to transmit the word "shiner" to you. This was his nickname for my mom.
